Is it just me, or does anyone else struggle with house work? I do, however, take a perverse pleasure in hanging out our little, colour coordinated loads of washing. Our front loader is capacity challenged, but good for the environment. Blue was the last load, but next is white, and after that, green and yellow. You can see them hanging under the verandah from the road...sometimes for a couple of days....

I love this post and I've meant to comment on it so many times. Sometimes I laugh thinking of all the oneliners that come to mind--I do live in the midst of redneck country, you know. Other times it brings to mind wonderful memories of helping Nanny, Ma, and Mama with the washing. I especially loved helping Ma since she had the old tub and wringer set-up. Thanks, Delynne!
ReplyDeleteJust everyday stuff here, Lesa. Most Australians hang their clothes to dry. Many homes wouldn't have a dryer at all. It is a bit redneck-ish to leave it out on the verandah so long, though!
