Just near us is a pocket of Europe. Italian speakers and Italian lovers gather every weekend to play cards and bocce (similar to lawn bowls or petanque), eat, drink, and socialise. I have been only a few times, but feel really comfortable there. Hubby and I are thinking of joining. $12 dollars gets you a 3 course lunch with an espresso to finish off.
