Well, In my first comment I was going to ask whether you worried about the teen adventures ahead but I deleted it-- didn't want to be a downer. I think we dealt with all the usual angst, mean girls (remember gum in your hair), family probs, and boys, just fine. Izzy will too--- she is smart and having trueblue friends and parental involvement will ensure it. Around 11th grade, we started creating/seeking out adventures that were silly, stupid and dangerous. We are lucky not to have encountered a serious mishap. That is what scares me but I bet Izzy will be smarter than us in that area.
All right, who put gum in my hair?!! I have obviously blocked that from my subconscious. We were very lucky; someone was looking out for us. Izzy will definitely not be a risk taker. No way. That's one worry I don't have for her.
Looks like a fun trio-- Reminds me of us!
ReplyDeleteDoes it make you feel nostalgic seeing Izzy with her friends?
Yeah, I get nostalgic sometimes, but often I'm afraid. I hope she is able to navigate the years ahead without too many problems. We did ok, didn't we.
